Yup! I'm still here. Still selling fake doors. Here's the news:

- I did a netsplit with Black Matter Phantasm and Dao de Noize, on Nahash Atrym Productions out of France. Three long harsh noise walls. My track is called "Employees and Consumers", and it won't be featured on my personal bandcamp, so check it out on the label's page. This is one of my recent forays into the HNW area, and I love it, and will continue to do it. On that note, I also recommend that you check out the split between Angel of Mercy and BMP, as it rules. - I'm working on a C60 tape, called "Asceticism". 60 minutes of hyper minimalist tape manipulation and field recordings. Not harsh. Sorry. Will be available in time for my sled set.

- The aforementioned Harsh Noise Waltz comp that I'm curating will also be ready in time for the sled show (the almighty willing). Looking to be a really sweet compilation, get excited (actually) for this one. Will post details when I feel like it. Watch the skies.

Aaaand that's all I can think of for the time being. This project isn't going anywhere, both in that I'm still doing it and nobody cares. Thanks for reading, watch out, stay tuned.

UPDATES!

A fair few things have happened! Perhaps most importantly or noteworthy, I will be playing Calgary's Sled Island Festival this year. I'm extremely stoked that they want me to be a part of it, and I hope to produce an exciting set. Check out this! http://www.sledisland.com/2014/starr-party

Also, I'm playing a Calgary show for National Drone Day at Oolong tea house in Calgary. This will be a quieter, non-abrasive show, and I'll be playing some introspective drones. Stoked to be playing with all my pals (Pinery, Moss Harvest, downfuckinghill, coma cult, and pedro monkeyfinger). It should be an amazing time!

I should also announce that I'm doing a split with Poete Maudit (sorry man, I can't find an accent) from Michigan. I`ve now made an appearance on the previously mentioned confusion and violence split series. Instead of being on a 3 way split I ended up being on a 5 way split with Insideout028, Patrick Harshings, SxRxT and Severed Fingers. I`m really stoked on how all of this turned out, and you should definitely check out all the tracks on the split. I also made the art for this endeavor, let me know what you think of everything, if you feel like it.

The SEXXXLESS/NOFUCKINGSEXXX tapes are available to order, and the track(s) themselves are available to stream on my bandcamp. I said I wasn't going to post them but I changed my mind. In other news, it has been confirmed that I'm doing a four way split with Moss Harvest, Black Matter Phantasm and ✰☻★☺✰. Harsh noise wall from all parties, should be interesting. I'm also doing a three way split, with Patrcksk Harsh and one other yet-to-be-identified assailant. This latter split will be part of TRASHFUCK records new "Confusion and Violence" split series. It's one of those things where the artists are supposed to make their own copies, and I probably won't make any, so it'll all be sweet and seemingly non-existent. Watch out for all of these things, and try to stay stoked.

I've received the tapes and the artwork for the SEXXXLESS/NOFUCKINGSEXXX tapes, just have to dub them and assemble them now. Should be good. I'm looking at doing a small run of CDRs or tapes for the It Was Found Underneath album, we'll see about that. Getting things duplicated is extremely expensive. I'm thinking of working on another HNW piece next, something I want to get better at...exciting things are happening with my label, but I can't go into detail just yet, too up in the air.


In other news, my friend Mark played an incredibly rad set at Emmedia in Calgary a few weeks ago, and luckily it got filmed, so you can enjoy it too! He tangles up all his cords and drops everything and it's fucking chaotic and sweet. I want to play shows like this!
